Marilyn Ann Siner

Marilyn Siner, 90, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by family, at Providence Healthcare. She was born on June 19, 1934, in Terre Haute, to Paul R. and Anna (Welch) Hegarty. She married Kenneth L. Siner on May 31, 1954.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Michael K. Siner, Michelle L. Siner, and Marsha K. Toney; grandchildren, Craig A. (Angela) Toney, Kristin M. Toney, Scott M. (Mary) Siner, Mark K. (Nancy) Siner, and Shane S. Siner; great-grandchildren, Caiden Toney, Kennedy Toney, Chloe Toney, Elliott Siner, Emerson Siner, Brennan Siner, Talon Siner, Nikolai Siner, and Luka Siner; a brother, Paul W. Hegarty; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Siner; a son, Mark S. Siner; and a great-grandson, Mason Siner.

Marilyn attended St. Patrick Grade School and graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1952. She began working for Meis Department Stores in 1950, working as a stock girl, secretary, and buyer until Meis stores were sold in 1989. Marilyn then went to work for Lucien Meis as his executive secretary and bookkeeper until her retirement in 2021. She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a dedicated volunteer at the St. Patrick Soup Kitchen. She also donated her time to the Union Hospital Gift Shop. Marilyn enjoyed cooking and taking care of others.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Marilyn will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Endowment Fund, St. Patrick Soup Kitchen, Catholic Charities, or the organization of your choice.
