Marilyn Jean Brock, 83, of Terre Haute passed away early Friday morning, March 20, 2015 at Signature Health Care. She was born January 14, 1932 in West Terre Haute, Indiana to Charles Raymond Kelley and Geneva Maxine Lawson Kelley. Her husband, Wilbur Brock, Jr., preceded her in death on October 6, 2007. Survivors include a son, Lawrence (Larry) James Baker and his wife, Donna, of Terre Haute; a daughter, Susan Baker of Terre Haute; a brother, Jack Kelley of Davie, FL; sister-in-law, JoAnn LeLoup of Rosedale, Indiana; six grandchildren, Laura "Lori" Baker Howard and her husband, Mike, of Terre Haute, Bryan Baker and his wife, Wendy, of Riley, IN, John "J.C." Baker and his wife, Melanie, of Indianapolis, Rob Young of Terre Haute and Casey Brock and Cody Brock both of New Goshen, IN; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Howard, Garrett Howard and Lacey Howard of Terre Haute, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Baker and Matthew Baker of Riley, IN, and Lauren Baker and Ashlee Baker of Indianapolis. Additional survivors include a niece, K-Lynn McKerchie and her husband, Terry of Ocala, FL; two nephews, Albert Kelley and his wife, Shelly, of Montezuma, IN and Chris Nickle of Sanford, FL; cousins, Joyce Kelley Clark of Hoffman Estates, IL and Chad Beck and his wife, Amy of West Terre Haute; "special son", David Ingle of Terre Haute; and very special friends, Jack & Pat Lowe of Terre Haute, John & Erika Strahla of Seelyville, IN and Carolyn Rogers of Terre Haute. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Wilbur "Skeeter" Brock who died on December 21, 2011. Earlier in her career, Marilyn had worked for CBS. She was a lifetime member of Lawton Byrum Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #972 Auxiliary and the MOC where she volunteered at Danville Hospital in Danville, IL and nursing homes in Terre Haute. Marilyn was a certified world clown and enjoyed bringing joy and laughter to people, especially children, and was an avid dancer. She loved her Lord Jesus with all her heart. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Chaplain Steve Wendler officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and also on Monday from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
