Marianna Spencer Beal

Marianna Spencer Beal, 71, of Terre Haute, Indiana, died Friday, September 24, 2021 at her cousin’s home in rural Montezuma, Indiana. She was born April 24, 1950 at St. Anthony Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana and grew up in rural Rosedale, Indiana. She attended Sacred Heart elementary school and Paul C. Schulte HS (1968), both in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She considered her 8 children her biggest accomplishment. Her life centered around God, her family and the Catholic Church. As an adult she was a long time member of St. Ann Parish, where she volunteered in many ways. Upon the closing of St. Ann, Marianna moved her membership to St. Joseph University Parish, where she served as a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Jr. (Theresa), Brian Beal (companion Lissa ), Rebecca Lambert Crittendon (Jerry), Jessica Dammann (Bryan), Jennifer Reininga (Orin), Catherine Harris (Chris), Michael Beal, and Karen Cox (Caleb); 23 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; special cousins, nieces, nephews; and a brother-in-law, Allen Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents, James William and Rosemary Kylander Riddell Spencer; one brother, James William Spencer II; and a sister, Charlotte Alexander.

A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 5:15 p.m. a St Joseph University Parish. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.  Marianna chose to donate her body to science. Interment of cremains at Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date.
