Marian Grace Forsyth, 94, of Terre Haute died Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Meadows Manor East. She was born August 30, 1919 in Rockford, Illinois to Charles Grimes and Grace Sutherland Grimes. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl G. Forsyth in 1973, and together they owned Forsyth Brothers Burial Vault Company.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Grant Forsyth of Terre Haute and Charles Clifford Forsyth and his wife Tonya of Corbin, KY; a daughter, Carol Bell and her husband Jeffrey of Brazil, IN; a brother, Charles "Bud" Grimes, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL; a granddaughter, Kristi Rolingher and her husband Shawn and their son Julian Shan Rolingher of Golden, CO; a nephew, Chip Grimes; three nieces, Janice Page, Lori Casha and Denise Forsyth; and a grand daughter-in-law, Suma Raju. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Grimes; and a grandson, Jeffrey Shan Bell; and a brother-in-law, Dr. J.C. Forsyth and his wife Betty and son, Greg.

Marian was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa, Lundi Club, Union Hospital Service League and The Newcomers Club. She attended Rockford College and worked at the Ladybug Needlepoint Shop and The Gatherings. She enjoyed her many friends at the Zorah Shrine and especially enjoyed her trips with her family and friends on spring break at Panama City Beach, FL. Marian and her husband, Carl visited many countries overseas while stationed in Germany and danced their way through Europe.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with the Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in the funeral home. The family kindly request that memorial contributions be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131 or to The Clay County Humane Society, P.O.
