Marian Lucille Dillon, age 91, died on Monday, January 6, 2020 with loved ones by her side. From her birth on June 5, 1928 to her death, Marian lived in Terre Haute, IN and never wanted to live anywhere else.
Marian was a wonderful woman with a heart full of love and nourished her family and friends with love and care. She will always be remembered by her family for having a smile on her face, a positive attitude, and a lap big enough for one more child to squeeze on.
She was the daughter of Orin and Edna Wilson and was the youngest of 7 children. After graduating in 1944 from Wiley High School, she met and married Alfred P. (Pete) Dillon who preceded her in death.
Marian is survived by her 4 children, Janet Black of Southport, NC, John Dillon of Jupiter, FL, Susan Robitaille of Norton, MA and Donald Dillon of Fairview, TX as well as her 6 grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Kevin, Michael, Gretchen and Jennifer and 11 great-grandchildren JD, Amelia, Colette, Harper, Mia, Ellie, Nora, Ben, Cavan, Kaylie and Lucan.
Marian was longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and then of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 2405 S. 7th St. Terre Haute, IN 47802. The burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery 7500 N. Clinton St. Terre Haute, IN 47805. Following the services there will be a celebration of her life at Westminster Village 1120 E. Davis Dr. Terre Haute, IN 47802. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th St.
