Margaret D. Ofsansky McKee, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015 at Cannon Inn. She retired from the printshop at C.B.S. Margaret was born September 24, 1923 in Terre Haute to Paul Ofsansky and Mary Leskovsky Ofsansky. Her husband, Joseph E. McKee, preceded her in death in 2005. Survivors include her son, Joseph M. "Mike" McKee and his wife, Patricia, of Terre Haute; her daughter, Paula Jean Apple and her husband, Donald Ricky, of Terre Haute; a son-in-law, Rick Moats of Greenwood, IN; four grandchildren, Melanie Wiram, Rick Anthony Moats, Jason P. Moats and Joseph M. McKee and his wife, Elizabeth; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Moats; 5 brothers, Joseph Ofsansky, James Ofsanksy, John Ofsansky, Mike Ofsansky and Paul Ofsanksy; and 5 sisters. Ann Melton, Mary Ofsansky, Wilma Ofsansky, Julia Brunovsky and Helen Marone. Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and formerly a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a member of the National Catholic Council of Women, St. Ann Church Women's Guild, Wabash Senior Citizens and Independent Order of Foresters. She enjoyed participating in bowling leagues with her friends at Vigo Bowl as well as painting at the Senior Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Father Bernie LaMontagne officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 16th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, and also prior to services on Friday from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church.
