Margaret E. Donnenhoffer, 95, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday evening, March 7, 2019. She was born August 26, 1923 in Terre Haute to Bernard E. Forbeck, Sr. and Floy M. Orman Forbeck.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Dawson (Dean) of Terre Haute and Carol Ann Taiclet of Valparaiso, IN; a son, Clarence T. Egan, Jr. (Lois) of Norfolk, VA; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Egan of Terre Haute; 9 grandchildren, Mark Egan, Mike Egan, Scott Egan, Donald Egan, Michael Egan, Paul Pugh, Jr., Joe Pugh, Kayla Dawson and Angela Rhoads; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands, Clarence T. Egan, Sr., Harold H. Lewis and George P. Donnenhoffer; a son, Daniel W. Egan; and her three siblings, Bernard E. Forbeck, Jr., Loretta Little and Mary Alice Lusk.
Margaret was a very active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She loved to travel, reading and always enjoyed a good story.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2322 North 13 ½ Street, with Father Darvin Winters officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, IN. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
