Marcella Jane South Myers, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday evening, December 26, 2018 at Meadows Manor East. She was born July 19, 1924 in Terre Haute to Edward South and Lelah Jordan South.

Survivors include her children, Elizabeth "Libby" Fernandez (Joe), Alfred "Marty" Myers (Kathy), John Myers (Laura), Tracy Myers (Pam), Edward Myers (Margie) and Marcia Lough (Scott): and grandchildren, Chad, Gary, Daniel, Angela, Jennifer, Johnny, Brittany, Kristin, Christina, Donny, Marah, Gregory and Brandon. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Hunter, Avalyn, Garrison, Dustin, Jacob, Braydan, Aaron, Xavier, Carter, Braxton, Mason, Noah, Kaycee, Parker, Oliver, Amyrah, Ezekiel, Liam and Devynn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Alfred Martin Myers; brothers, Edgar, Amos, Manley and Francis South; step-son, William C. Myers; son, Larry E. Myers; and step-grandchildren, Brian Coleman and James "Jimmy" Myers.

Marcella was a welder during World War II, worked at Simplicity Pattern, Miller-Parrot Baking Co., American Baking Co. and had also cleaned houses as well. She was a member of Jobs Daughters, Riley Chapter #22 Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Post #328 Auxiliary where she served as secretary, and Riley Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary (Retired).

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM with an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 PM.
