Lucy Mae Elrod

Lucy Mae Elrod, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Friday evening, August 6, 2021.  She was born June 12, 1930 in Sheffield, IL to Jess Stockwell and Hazel Marie Cline Stockwell.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Marlow (Tom), Donna Baker (Larry), Edward Elrod (Anita) and Woodrow O. Elrod, Jr. all of Terre Haute;  her sister, Linda Hedges of Terre Haute;  a brother-in-law, Terry Elrod;  10 grandchildren;  several great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Otto Elrod;  a son, Gary Elrod;  4 sisters, Dorothy Cox, Hazel Kerr, Shirley Hamilton and Lavita Stockwell;  four brothers, Jessie, Donald, Gene and Johnny Stockwell;  a half-brother, Vernon Sheese;  and 2 half- sisters.

Lucy worked as a private housekeeper for 35 years.  She enjoyed sewing and playing bingo, and especially loved being with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Pastor Larry Richmond officiating.  Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Funeral information and tributes may be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
