Louise C. (Mcfall) Prox
May 2, 1927 — June 20, 2017
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert F. Prox, Jr., who was devoted to her care the past several years of her life. They were married June 29, 1949. Also surviving is a daughter, Ann Prox of Terre Haute; a son, Robert F. Prox III (Mary Beth) of Terre Haute; a grandson, Bryan Prox (Vanessa); a great-grandson, Jack Prox; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn McFall. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Robert McFall and a grandson, John Prox.
Louise was a 1944 graduate of Wiley High School and a 1948 graduate of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She was an active member for many years at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and was a member of the Rose Ladies Board, Clara Fairbanks Board and Country Club of Terre Haute. In her youth, Louise was an active and accomplished horsewoman. Later in her life she was an avid gardener and loved to golf and play tennis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 215 North 7th Street, with The Reverend Drew Downs officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, 1811 South Fruitridge Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47803 or to the charity of your choice.
