Louise Ruth Jackson

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Jackson; sons, Nicholas Mahurin and Darren Mahurin (Charity); grandchildren, Rachel Fisher (Michael), Ty Mahurin, and Tenley Mahurin; great grandchild, Hollis Fisher; Jeff's daughter, Julie Mathis (Lloyd); grandchildren, Kristen and Tyler; Jeff's son, James Jackson (Kristy); brothers, Don Ruth (Inge) of Mississippi and David Ruth of Texas; sisters, Linda Wetzler of Pennsylvania, Donna Ruth of Virginia, Jennifer Durbin (Jeff) of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Ruth.
Louise was born with a kind spirit. She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Louise was an avid reader, liked to take long walks, enjoyed gardening, and loved to cook and bake for her family. She also loved to sew, knit, read cookbooks, and collect recipes. Louise was loved and will be forever missed.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Wabash Valley and the extra special care from private caregivers with Tracy Hoopingarner's group.
It was Louise's wish to be cremated with a Celebration of Life to take place from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. on July 11, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
