Lois Ann Hubbs

Lois Ann Hubbs, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born November 22, 1932 in Terre Haute to Hubert Leo Whitney and Mary Frances Whitney Harrison. Survivors include her son, Kurt Allan Heintz and his wife Jacqueline; Step-sons, Don Hubbs and Toby Hubbs; Step-daughter, Sherry Gaiton; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis J. Hubbs; father, Hubert Leo Whitney; mother, Mary Frances Whitney Harrison; and step-father, William "Mickey" Harrison. Lois retired from Bemis and had also worked at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Eastern Motor Express, Best Way Trucking, Columbia Records, and Dairy Queen in Farmersburg. She was a member of American Legion Post 197 in Shelburn. Lois loved her dogs, enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and going to the casino and horse races. Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Brother Mark Grayless officiating. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
