Linda Marie Everly, 66, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday morning, August 14, 2019 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care after a lengthy battle with cancer. She retired from Indiana State University where she worked as an office manager for the School of Criminology. Linda was born January 13, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lloyd Scholl and Margaret Harrington Scholl.
Survivors include her brother Larry W. Anderson of Tucson, AZ; her former sister-in-law, Jeanne Everly of Terre Haute; and many very close friends at Memorial United Methodist Church, Vigo County Quilt Guild, ISU and Wyndmoor Senior Living. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a graduate Jefferson High School in Lafayette, IN and received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana State University. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the Vigo County Quilt Guild where she served as president and organized a number of Quilt Shows. Linda was also an avid Chicago Cub fan.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, August 19, 2019 in Memorial United Methodist Church, 2701 Poplar Street, with Reverend Tim Voll officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM in the church. A private burial will occur at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
