After battling a rare form of stomach cancer, Linda Sue Coleson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 21, 2024. She stepped into eternity at home and surrounded by loving family, as she wished.
Linda was born on January 27, 1949, in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of John and Rosemary McCrory, who predeceased her. She graduated from Wheaton High School in Maryland, and attended Indiana Wesleyan University. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a talented musician and ministered in music in the many churches of which she was a part. As a long-time pastor’s wife, she also was active in church ministries to women and children. During her long illness that preceded her cancer battle, she was a prayer warrior. She was a gentle, loving, lovely, godly woman.
Linda is survived by Richard Coleson, her husband of 51 years; her three children, Nathan (and his wife Jennifer), Heather (and her husband Jakob Kurtz), and Jason; her five grandchildren, Emma, Natalie, and Felicity Kurtz and Addison and Gabriel Coleson; and her two brothers Michael McCrory (and his wife LeEllen) and James McCrory (and his wife Jan) and their families.
Linda’s funeral will be held at World Gospel Church in Terre Haute on Saturday, April 27. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. followed by the service at 1:30. Interment will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please send any gifts to Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Wabash Valley, https://www.wabashvalleypregnancy.com, or World Gospel Church, https://www.worldgospelchurch.org.
