Lester Joe Hillenburg, Jr.

Survivors include his wife Carmen Booker Hillenburg; two daughters, Brandy Hillenburg and Michelle Walton (Thomas) both of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Alexis, Tayler, Brandon, Braelynn and Emma; two sisters, Joetta Myers (John) and Robin Long (Danny) both of Terre Haute; and a brother, Michael Hillenburg. Also surviving are four brothers-in-law, Jack Booker, Robert Booker (Rosalie), Webster Booker (Tammy) and Chad Booker; three sisters-in-law, Pam Booker, Cheryl Graves (Clyde) and Laurie Booker; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Johnny.
Joe was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors. He was a transmission mechanic for around 40 years. Joe was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed racing and restoring cars.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial tributes and funeral information may also be found at www.callahanandhughes.com.
