Lavonne Lucille Waldron

LaVonne Lucille Waldron, 89, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 in her residence.  She was born December 14, 1934 in Clay City to Theodore Travis and Grace Craig Travis.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Pearl Waldron whom she married July 25, 1954; brother, Gale “Bud” Travis (Donnetta); sister, Theada Morris (Victor); and sister-in-law, Ruby Waldron (Bill Bower). She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph R. Waldron who died June 9, 2017 and her parents.

LaVonne was very involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Bowling Green Eastern Star, and spent several years working at the Vigo County Historical Society.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Mary Beth Mullen officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
