Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Michael and Cynthia Miley of Tulsa, OK, Brad and Kathy Miley of Terre Haute, Ann and David Hart of Terre Haute and Greg and Frances Miley of Irmo, SC; her sister, Patricia LaGrange of Terre Haute; her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Caroline Denning of Louisville, KY; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Denning of Knoxville, TN; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted Denning, Jr.
LaVerne was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a "people person" and loved spending time with her family and friends and people of all ages. She also enjoyed time spent golfing, visiting the gym and traveling.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 26, 2018 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1807 Poplar Street, with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Private burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Holland, MI. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25th from 5:00-8:00 PM in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. If friends should so desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Church Soup Kitchen, 1807 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
