Larry Keith Wheeler

Larry Keith Wheeler, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Monday evening, July 15, 2024.  He was born January 3, 1940 in Sullivan County, IN to James Harvey Wheeler and Anna Britton Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McCammon Wheeler.  They were married December 30, 1960 in Lewis, IN.  Also surviving are two daughters, Beth Scott (Tom) of Metamora, IL and Leslie Wheeler of Terre Haute;  three grandchildren, Whitney Scott of Terre Haute, Anna Van Middlesworth (Hunter) of Cuba, IL and Freya Wheeler of Terre Haute;  his sister, Diana Sue Nolder (Bill) of Swayzee, IN;  sister-in-law, Ernestine Wheeler of Terre Haute;  and several nieces and nephews including Ann Huntwork of Terre Haute.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  and siblings, Jeanette Bedwell, Marge Bedwell, Jim Wheeler and Kenny Wheeler.

Larry was a 1958 graduate of Blackhawk High School and had worked as a mechanic at Indiana Gas and Chemical and also Union Hospital.

A visitation is scheduled from 5:00-6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM with Reverend Stephen Moore officiating.  Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN.  If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to 14th & Chestnut Community Center, 1403 Chestnut St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.  Funeral information and tributes may be found at www.callahanandhughes.com.
