Larry L. Rector, 74, of Staunton passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Union Hospital. He was born June 24, 1943 in Terre Haute to Harold L. Rector and Rose Williams Rector.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Burk Rector; children, Elizabeth Kavanagh and her husband Bob of Jacksonville, FL, David Rector and his wife Dawn of Brazil, and Steven Rector of LaGrange, GA; granddaughter, Erin Kavanagh of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Linda Beauvais and her husband Pete of Eau Claire, WI, niece, Michelle Beauvais; and nephew Michael Beauvais and his wife Kim. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a third generation plumber who retired after 42 years from Williams Plumbing. The company was started by his grandfather and later owned by his uncle. He was a loving husband and father. Larry was a member of Social Lodge #86 F & AM where he was a Past Master, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, and a 50 year member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #157.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 28, 2017 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 with a Masonic Memorial Services at 7:00 P.M and one hour prior to services on Monday.
