Larry Michael O'Brien

Larry Michael OBrien, 78, of Florida and formerly Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Citrus Gardens Healthcare. He was born November 2, 1937 in Terre Haute to John J. OBrien and Leona Minar OBrien. Larry was a retired postal clerk.

Survivors include his daughter, Lori OBrien of Ovideo, FL; three grandchildren, Spencer, Nick, and Luke; three cousins, Arlene Krieg, Barbara McGahan, and Patricia Junker and best friend, Paul Mead. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael OBrien; infant daughter, Dana; and a brother, John P. OBrien.

Larry was a member of St. Joseph University Parish, a lifetime member of V.F.W Post #972, and the Postal Union. He was a former three year member of the Terre Haute Fire Department.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Friar Savio Manavalan, OFM Conv. officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
