Kaythern B. Liehr

Kaythern Bernice Liehr, 97, of Terre Haute died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her residence. Kaythern "Kate" was born June 27, 1917 in Linton, IN to George Baker and Clemie Wilcoxon Baker. Kaythern was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Liehr in 1963, her four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Gibbs (Tony); her granddaughter, Michele G. Kirby (Ed); and her two great-granddaughters, Katie Kirby and Ellen Kirby; and several nieces and nephews. Kaythern graduated from Wiley High School and married Edward in 1938. She worked in optometry for many years. Kaythern loved her yard, flowers, sewing, and spending time with her family, which was her greatest joy. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Martin Day officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to mass from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Monday at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Dominican Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus, P.O.
