Judy Ann Purcell

Judy Ann Purcell, a woman of quiet strength, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 22, 2020. She was born August 4, 1950, in Terre Haute.

Her parents, Clyde and Mary Purcell and her brother Larry Purcell preceded her in death. Survivors include her three sisters, Peggy Hanna (Bill), Gayla Norris (John) and Janna Bentz; a brother, Ron Purcell (Barbara); a sister-in-law, Diane Purcell; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Doreen Swanson, Victoria Winter, Nancy Ohme and Hallie Fox.

Judy was a graduate of Wiley High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Indiana State University. She retired from the Minooka, IL school system where she worked as a school librarian and English teacher. She enjoyed her retirement years in Terre Haute. She loved her family, friends, books, Bingo and her cat, Gabby. Her gentle, loving ways, kindness and joyful laughter will always be remembered, and she will be deeply missed by all who love her.
