Judith Ann Joseph, 77, of Terre Haute went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, May 10, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. She was a local Realtor for 30 years having worked 22 of those years as the owner of Joseph Realtors, Inc. Judy was born October 7, 1942 in Champaign, IL to Edison Wester and Jean Hess Wester.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth M. Joseph; her two sons and their wives, Jeffrey K. and Reneé Joseph of Melbourne, FL and Kristian M. and Stacey Joseph of Terre Haute; and five grandchildren, Ariella Joseph, Ben Joseph, Deznee Joseph, Ashley Joseph and Cole Joseph. Also surviving are two sisters, Jeannie Robbins (Danny) of Patoka, IN and Jill Hannah of Terre Haute; her brother, Tom Wester of Terre Haute; four sisters-in-law, Sharon Dalton of Florida, Carolyn Nicoson of Terre Haute, Nancy Kaifesh (Cary) of Nevada and Debra Rainbolt (Ray) of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law, Douglas Joseph of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy was a graduate of Garfield High School and was a member of Calvary Temple of Terre Haute. After graduation from high school, Judy was a homemaker who took care of her family. In 1980 she followed her passion of working in real estate ultimately owning her own real estate business for 22 years. She was Past President of the Terre Haute Board of Realtors, M.L.S., and was a recipient of the Realtor of the Year Award. Judy was a member of Tri Kappa and served on the board of directors of the Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries and the Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was a devout Christian woman having been very active in El Shaddai Emmaus Community where she was the lay director of Walk 141 and was Past President of Aglow International. She also visited the country of Israel in 1993, and was a big supporter of the Jewish people and their homeland. She loved reading, working in her garden and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Lynwood Andrews officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM and also on Thursday from 12:00 Noon-1:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
