Joseph Tony "Jody" Vearo, 47, of Terre Haute, died in his home Tuesday, November 26, 2019. He was born October 31, 1972 to Joseph Vearo and Tina Taylor Lawson.

Jody is survived by his mother and father; brother, George Vearo (Susie); aunts, Brenda Jackson, Carolyn Cronk, and Teresa Sekine; uncles, Jimmy Taylor, and Kevin Taylor; nieces and nephews, Rochelle Vearo, Barbara Vearo, Brittany Vearo, Molly, Vearo, Nathan Vearo, Josh Vearo, Matthew Vearo, and Samantha Vearo; and step-father, Scott Kelsheimer. He is also survived by his good friend, Marty Sparks, and many other family members and friends. Jody was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Vearo; sister, Melinda Vearo; and step-mother, Jennifer Vearo.

Jody spent his free time being with family and friends, enjoying football, basketball, and cornhole as well. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Farmersburg. He often volunteered at the North Terre Haute First Baptist Church food pantry, and had previously worked at Baesler's Market.
