John F Pollock

Survivors include his daughter, Alice A. Roushia and her husban, Dale, of Newburgh, IN; his daughter-in-law, Denise Pollock of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, John Pollock, Will Pollock, Sam Pollock and Bridget Roushia; a great-granddaughter, Cassandra Lynn Roushia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Rose Pollock; and a son, Dr. John B. "Bernie" Pollock.
John was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Saint Mother Theodore Council Knights of Columbus, was a life member of American Legion Post #104, VFW Post #972 and Marine Corps League, and was a member of the Sycamore Country Club and Elks Lodge #86.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2322 North 13 1/2 Street, with Father Darvin Winters officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2322 North 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804.
