John C. Meyer John C. Meyer, 72, of Terre Haute died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in I.U. Methodist Hospital. He was born October 13, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to William Meyer and Florence Apel Meyer. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Henderson Meyer whom he married on June 16, 2003. John was a retired mechanic having spent 30 years at Eli Lilly Company. Other survivors include his sons, Jason Meyer and his wife Meredith of Chicago, IL, Randy Watson and his wife Julie of Cincinnati, OH; and Max Watson and his wife Christy of Indianapolis; a daughter, Lisa; two sisters, Liz Fisher and her husband Norm of Tarpon Springs, FL and Shirley Vallieres and her husband Gillis of Pompano Beach, FL; and two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madeline Meyer; John is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jean Churley. John was passionate about fitness and as a result loved to work out and participate in several sports like tennis, basketball and was an avid golfer. He also loved his pets. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and served his country in the U.S. Army. A Celebration of John's Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
