John L. Iunghuhn, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was a Union Steward and Manager of the Spice Mill at Hulman & Company where he worked for 43 years. John was born August 14, 1932 in Saline City, IN to Harry Harrison Iunghuhn and Nellie Hannum Iunghuhn. His wife, Martha R. Tilley Iunghuhn, preceded him in death on December 28, 2016.
Survivors include his son, Kent Iunghuhn of Carmel, IN; a grandson, Jake Iunghuhn of Carmel, IN; a brother, Harry D. Iunghuhn and his wife, Darlene, of Princeton, IN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Robert Iunghuhn, Dorothy James, Audrey Jacobus, Raymond Iunghuhn and infant twins, Lillie & Roy Iunghuhn.
John was a graduate of Ashboro High School and was a United States Army Veteran having served in Japan. He attended Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church and was an avid euchre player with the Saline Euchre Club.
Memorial services will take place at 3:00 P.M. (EST), Friday, March 17, 2017 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Andy Fishback officiating. Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Friday from 2:00-3:00 P.M. (EST) in the funeral home.
