Jimmy Jamison Rogers

January 20, 1943 — May 13, 2024

Jimmy Jamison Rogers, 81, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  He was born January 20, 1943 in Danville, IL to Harrison Maxwell Rogers and Rose Jamison Rogers.  Jim was a Trust Officer at First National Bank in Robinson, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Goldman Rogers; son, Jamison Drew Rogers (Alison Martin Rogers); grandchildren, Ryan Martin Rogers, Emily Jamison Rogers, and Molly McKay Rogers; brother, Doug Rogers (Peggy); sister, Becky Rogers Veenstra (Ron); and nieces and nephews, Tim Veenstra, Tyler Veenstra, Chad Veenstra, Wyatt Rogers, and Amber Rogers Branch.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim received his BS from Southern Illinois University in 1965. He was a member of Theta Xi fraternity, Kiwanis, and the Elks.  Jim served on the board and foundation of Lincoln Trail Community College. He also served on the Crawford Memorial Hospital Foundation, and was a founding member of the Robinson High School Academic Foundation. Jim was also very active in the Music and Theatre Departments at Lincoln Trail College. Jimmy was a musician and enjoyed genealogy, reading, travel, and storytelling. He was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute, IN.


Jim will be laid to rest at Union Chapel Cemetery in Grantsburg, Indiana.  Memories and condolences may be sent to [email protected] .

Memorial contributions may be made to the Robinson High School Academic Foundation, Hospice of the Wabash Valley, or the Lincoln Trail College Foundation in Jim's name.
