Jerry Lee Schalburg

Jerry Lee Schalburg, 83, of Terre Haute passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 in Westminster Village.  He was born August 19, 1939 in East Glenn to Kenneth G. Schalburg and Opal L. McClintock Schalburg.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Freeman Schalburg; son, Randy Schalburg (Dina); brother, K. Michael Schalburg (Pam); grandchildren, Cory Schalburg (Whitney) and Breighann Wellman-Pugh (Joe); great grandchildren, Lyla Schalburg, Riley Pugh, and Avery Schalburg; one nephew; and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, James Fredrick Schalburg (Mary); and a nephew, Jeffrey Gaer.

Jerry worked at Commercial Solvents/Pittman-Moore for 37 years and after retiring worked at Coldwell Bearings for 12 years. He was a Navy veteran.  Jerry officiated high school basketball and football, including a State Final football game. He was an IHSAA basketball official observer and head of the Wabash Valley Officials Association where he also held several other positions.  Jerry is a member of the Terre Haute Softball Hall of Fame.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors.  Visitation will be prior to services from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday.
