Jerry Lee Long
April 18, 1943 — February 25, 2020
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Campbell Long; children, Michael Long (Nancy), Brenda Gaudard (Jesse), and Troy Long (Janet); siblings, Larry Long, Joan Brown, and Susan Tincher; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol Caton; and two baby sisters.
Jerry was a truck driver who loved traveling and had welded in the Newport News shipyards and on an Indiana coal dragline, as well as built homes with his brother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Todd Payton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services.
