Jerry Hof, 67, of Terre Haute died early Saturday morning, February 8, 2014 in Union Hospital. He was a Mill Operator having worked for Alcan Aluminum/Novelis Corporation. Jerry was born February 16, 1946 in Madison, South Dakota to John Hof and Dorothy Louella Mizner Hof. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Wanda M. Keller Hof; a daughter, Georgina M. Rogers of Terre Haute; a son, Jerris John Hof of Colorado; a step-daughter, Rhonda Welch of Terre Haute; two sisters, Joann Elizabeth Reisinger of Zionsville, IN and Fritzie Leigh Edwards of Knightsville, IN; one brother, David Loren Hof and his wife, Laura, of Sioux Falls, SD; and one sister in-law, Ruth Hof of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are one grandchild, Christopher Jade Rogers; three step-grandchildren; James Welch, Andrew Welch and Harlan Manuel; two great-grandchildren, Christopher & Aubrey; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack Hof and an infant brother; a sister, Inez Robson; and a grandson, Larrywane Rogers. Jerry was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the U.S. Air Force from 1964-1968. After retiring from Alcan he enjoyed working from his home as a mechanic. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor James Haddix officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by VFW Post #972. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M.
