Jeffrey Keith Redman

Jeffrey Keith Redman passed away on February 1, 2022 at Union Hospital. He was born October 12, 1954 to Ernest “Herbie” Redman, Jr. and Grace “Jerri” Roberts Redman in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Leak Redman and two daughters; Sarah Diaz and her husband Ivan of Danville, Indiana and Maggie Rhodes and her husband Kyle of Terre Haute. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Lance of Indianapolis, one granddaughter, Hannah Diaz and several nieces and nephews.

Jeff graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School in 1973. He then went on to attend Indiana State University and the Wisconsin School of Banking. He retired from First Financial Bank in 2019 after working there for 47 years. He started as a part time teller in high school and upon his retirement he was the branch manager and vice president of the Meadows Banking Center. Throughout his career he was also involved with the American Heart Association, United Cerebral Palsy, and Leadership Terre Haute.

Jeff was the happiest when he was spending time with his wife and daughters. He loved his family so much and was a wonderful husband and father. He loved being a “girl dad” and would take each daughter out on father/daughter dates of their choosing to make them feel special. He loved his wife’s pies and he will always be remembered as the “Cookie Monster.”

Jeff really liked people. He was very social and made friends wherever he went. He always had a backyard neighbor he would talk to over the fence. He would do anything for you and never wanted any credit. He was known for his honesty, quick wit, and sarcasm. He was a devout Christian and attended Free Life Community Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Free Life Community Church located at 1620 S. 20th Street, Terre Haute, IN. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with visitation following until 3:00 p.m.
