Jason Alan Cahill
Jason Alan Cahill, 40, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Melbourne, FL. He was born February 13, 1977 in Scottsburg, IN to Jim and Lyndia Cahill.
Survivors include his parents of Terre Haute, four children; Colton, of Terre Haute, Connor, of Indianapolis and their mother, Holly, Tayelor of Navarre, FL and her mother, Julie, and Jaylin Cruz of Melbourne, FL and his mother, Gail, two sisters; Kimberly (Micah) Meeks-Johnson and Kerrie (Jim) Archer of Terre Haute, and aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great-nephews, and lots of cousins. Jason also had a very wonderful lady, Barbie Leslie, who he considered his sister and who watched over him in Florida.
Jason graduated from North Vigo High School and Ivy Tech before serving for four years in the Marine Corps. He resided in Melbourne, FL and worked for RGNext, LLC, a contractor for Patrick Air Force Base, where he was a machinist/tool and die maker. He also traveled for his company to Antigua and Ascension Islands as part of his job, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
He continued his high school and Marine friendships throughout his life.
Jason loved and was close to all his family. He enjoyed cooking, barbequing, and sharing recipes with his Mother. He also enjoyed fishing and telling fish tales with his Dad and hanging out with his co-workers.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street with Reverend Clark Cowden officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 9:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by Lawton Byrum VFW Post #972.
