Jarrod Lee Devillez, 43, of Terre Haute, died at his home Friday, March 13, 2020. He was born March 11, 1977 in Lebanon, IN to Ingrid Coverstone Devillez and step-father, James Huxford.
Jarrod is survived by his sisters, Trina Devillez McDonald, Tamara Devillez Black; brothers, Joe Devillez, Shane Huxford, and Jim Huxford, Jr.; grandfather, Bill Hewitt; nieces and nephews, Aeysha Hall Leffler, Marrisa Hall Hovis, Austin Huxford, Xavier Devillez, and Phoenix Devillez; step-father, Jim Huxford; an aunt, Pamela Mitchell Huxford; and extended family as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ingrid S. Coverstone Huxford; grandmother, Jean R. Williams Hewitt; and an uncle, George Mitchell.
Jarrod graduated from Paris High School in 1996. He worked for the Department of Corrections for nearly 13 years at Carlisle, IN. Prior to the Department of Corrections, Jarrod worked at Great Dane of Terre Haute, Walmart Southside Terre Haute, and was a meat processor at Bridwell's Supermarket in Paris, Illinois. He loved and was willing to help people at any time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, was a big movie collector, and rode horses as a child. Jarrod was a kid at heart, and loved to joke and laugh. Red, white and blue of America was the heart of his beliefs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EST Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street in Terre Haute, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2020 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute toward Jarrod's funeral arrangements at GoFundMe.com.
