Janna C. Chait

November 28, 1948 — June 29, 2014

Janna C. Chait, 65, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 in her residence. She was born November 12, 1948 in Cedar Grove, West Virginia to William Craigo and Jacqueline Ferrell Craigo. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Herschel Chait; one daughter, Kirstie Russell of Terre Haute; her mother, Jacqueline Craigo of South Carolina; three brothers, Gordon Craigo, Roger Craigo, and Todd Craigo all of South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Callista Nicole Graham and David Lee Graham II both of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her father. Janna was a member of the United Hebrew Congregation and the United Hebrew Congregation Sisterhood. She was formerly a reporter and Business Editor for the Tribune Star and currently a freelance writer specializing in diabetes. Janna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and traveling. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Hebrew Congregation Sisterhood, 540 S. 6th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
