Janis Eileen Robinson Bays

Janis Eileen Robinson Bays, 70, of Marshall, IL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care surrounded by many loved ones.  She was born July 18, 1952 in Terre Haute to Charles Robert Robinson and Phyllis Matlock Robinson.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Rex Bays; sons, Rex Bays, Jr. (Tracey) of Vincennes, Kevin Bays (Kaylynn), and Trevor Bays, both of Marshall; special daughter-in-law, Jamie Bays of Marshall; brother, Steven Robinson (Norma) of Springfield, IL; sister, Debra Lynn Robinson (Steve) of West Terre Haute; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diana Elaine Robinson.

Janis was a poet and writer. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Janis was an excellent cook and loved holiday get-togethers.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Noon, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Mark Grayless officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
