James D. Roach

James D. Roach, 80, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Signature Healthcare.  He was born November 24, 1940 in Terre Haute to William B. Roach and Mildred Hogue Roach.  Jim was a retired captain from the Terre Haute Police Department.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Geraldine A. McCoy Roach; son, David Roach (Angela); daughter, Donna Daiuto (Tony); grandchildren, Joshua Roach and Nolan Roach; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Roach.

Jim was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Teamsters Union, Fraternal Oder of Police, Knights of Columbus, the Sycamore Club, and Riley American Legion.  He served in the U.S. Navy. Jim graduated from the 99 Class of the FBI Academy.

The family will have Mass of Christian Burial at 12:05 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Martin Day, OFM Conv. officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Officer Rob Pitts Memorial Scholarship, Officer Brent Long Fallen Officer Memorial Scholarship, or the charity of your choice.
