James W. "Bill" Orndorff

James W. “Bill” Orndorff, 86, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday evening, December 17, 2020.  He was born September 5, 1934 in Tecumseh, Indiana to James Floyd Orndorff and Myrtle Guest Orndorff.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wilma R. Newman Orndorff;  a daughter, Penny Long of Terre Haute;  sister, Jean Bailey of Stoneyford, CA;  four grandchildren, Stephanie Brenton (Dustin), Greg Denbo, Courtney Erwin and Jason Wilt;  8 great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  1 brother;  and 2 sisters.

Bill loved music and playing his guitar.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting mushrooms.  He enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 3:00-5:00 PM.  Private burial will take place at a later time.  Funeral information and tributes may be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
