James A. Doti, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Monday evening, October 3, 2016 at
his home surrounded by family. He was the founder and president of JADCORE,
Inc. of Terre Haute before his retirement in 1994. Jim was born October 2, 1925 in
Radley, KS to Joseph Doti and Olga Castelli Doti.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Donna Davies Doti; and their children,
John Doti of Palm Springs, CA, Brian Doti and his wife, Kim, David Doti and his wife,
Becky, Dean Doti and his wife, Rebecca, Rob Doti and his wife, Mary, and Maria
Doti, all of Terre Haute, and Rosanne Davis and her husband, Jim, of Holland, MI.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Ryan Davis and his wife, Sara,
Anna Dyer and her husband, Garrison, Jason Doti and his wife, Caitlin, Chris Doti
and his wife, Kayla, Melissa Doti, Nicole Doti, Christina Perry and her husband,
Drew, Derek Doti, Kevin Doti, Sophia Doti, Jimmy Doti, Al Doti, Clara Doti, Doug
Greninger, Gina Greninger and Emma Greninger; two great-grandchildren,
Eli and Hudson Doti; his sister, Yvonne Robertson of Pittsburg, KS; a brother-in-law,
John Ziegler of Girard, KS; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his
parents; he was preceded in death by two sons, Dana Doti and James Joseph Doti;
and a brother, Joe Dean Doti.
Jim was a graduate of Kansas State Teachers College at Pittsburg, KS and served
in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a B-17 Aerial Gunner with
the 8th Air Force, 390th Bomb Group where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant, flew
35 missions and was awarded the Air Medal with 5 Oak Clusters.
Earlier in his career, Jim worked for Gulf Oil Company for 25 years, Broyhill Furn-
iture Company in Lenoir, NC and was the first plant manager for Ampacet Corp-
oration in Terre Haute. After Ampacet he went on to found JADCORE in 1974.
Jim was a member of St. Joseph University Parish, Society of Plastics Engineers,
Downtown Terre Haute Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Terre Haute Elks
Lodge #86 and the "Fruitridge Gang".
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and thanks to all of Jim's
caregivers and VNA/Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2016 in
St. Joseph University Parish, 113 South 5th Street, with Friar Mark Weaver,
O.F.M. Conv. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is sched-
uled for Friday, Oct. 7th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a Scripture Service to take place at
at end of visitation in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. The
family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph University
Parish or to St. Joseph University Parish Samaritan Fund, 113 South 5th Street,
