Irene D. Berlen

Irene D. Berlen, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Westminster Health Center. She was born on June 4, 1924 in Larne, Northern Ireland to Robert Davison and Agnes Burnside Davison. Irene was a retired seamstress with Krausbeks Dry Cleaners for 20 years, and was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Berlen.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Berlen and his wife Donetta of Clay City, IN and Keith Berlen and his wife Loura of Mooresville, IN; and four grandchildren, Ellery and Spencer Berlen; Jason Berlen and Heather Devore and her husband Cody; and three great grandchildren, Gwen, Lexi and Jackie Devore.

Irene was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed children and was a member of Foster Grandparents and the YMCA Stay and Play program. Irene loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday June 16, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Pastor Steven Tyra officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday June 15, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home.
