Imogene Morgan Stimac

Imogene Morgan Stimac, 97, of Terre Haute died Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2022 at Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus.  She was born March 22, 1925 in Martinsville, IL to Henry B. Morgan and Rosa Hurst Morgan.  Mrs. Stimac was a bond underwriter for the Forrest Sherer, Inc. Insurance Agency for 18 years before retiring in 1985, and had previously worked at Merrill and Merrill Insurance Agency as a bookkeeper.  She and John Stimac were married for 57 years before he passed away November 26, 2000.   They were married in the Ridgefarm Methodist Church May 1, 1943.

Mrs. Stimac graduated from Ridgefarm High School, Ridgefarm, Illinois in 1942.  She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Twelve Points Chapter #528 Order of Eastern Star and various other organizations.

Survivors include her two children, Randall Stimac and his wife, Diane, of Carmel, IN and Susan Stimac Butts and her husband, Steve, of Terre Haute;  and grandchildren, Gary of Orlando, FL, Jennifer Stimac Haag of Brownsburg, IN, Michael Stimac (Julie) of Franklin, IN, Danielle Davis (Clayton) of Fishers, IN, John Howard Stimac of San Francisco, CA and Angela Sue Fox of Terre Haute.  Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Carol Stimac;  10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Stimac; three brothers, Delbert, Wayne and Hobert Morgan;  and two sisters, Arlene Morgan Pritchett and Irma Morgan Helms.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 6, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Pastor Steve Moore officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be prior to services from 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon in the funeral home.  If friends should so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St., #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.  Funeral information and tributes may be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
