Hillmer John Schaible, 88, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 in his residence. He was born December 30, 1926 in Saline, MI to Julius Schaible and Johanna Gartmann Schaible. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ruppel Schaible; daughter, Babette Bellgraph and her husband Gerry of Shelburn; sons, Michael Schaible and his wife Anita of Findley, OH and Phillip Schaible and his wife Karen of Greenbay, WI; eight grandchildren, Anna Moody and her husband Sam, Eric Schaible, Lucas Schaible, Claire Schaible, Eva Schaible, Lydia Schaible, Jon Bellgraph, and Aaron Bellgraph; and a great granddaughter, Ashlynn Bellgraph. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerhardt Schaible. Hillmer was a retired minister of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He had served parishes in Flagstaff, AZ; Mayville, MI; Wauwatosa, WI; Rialto, CA; and Waltz, MI. Hillmer also was a realtor in his retirement. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN with Pastor Jacob Sutton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
