Hildegard Kuper, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday evening, December 6, 2017 at Providence HealthCare. Earlier in her career, she had worked at Quaker Maid, Inc. Hilda was born December 11, 1923 in Burgheim, Germany to Josef Weilbach and Kreszenz Koppold Weilbach.
Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Robert J. Kuper; two sons, Robert E. Kuper of Crestwood, KY and Thomas L. Kuper (Freda) of Terre Haute; and three grandchildren, Angie Miller (Chad) of Panama City, FL, Thomas M. Kuper (Jessie Jansen) of Terre Haute and Adam J. Kuper (Shelby) of Paris, IL. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Bryce Miller (Jessica), Logan Miller (Shawnna) and Aiden Kuper; one great-great-grandchild, Landon Miller; and her sister, Zenta Wolf of Germany.
Hilda was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She loved being with her grandchildren, being busy in her garden and having yard sales. Her family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the doctors and staffs at Union Hospital and Providence HealthCare.
Private services will be conducted in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Fr. Martin Day officiating. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
