May 31, 1933 — November 6, 2017

NASSER, Helen B. born May 31, 1933 in Damascus, Syria, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Palm Beach, Florida. Helen blessed and enriched every life she touched for 84 full years, as the love of Christ was alive and well in her heart, and radiated from her. She was a well-respected educator and the first Christian female school principal in Syria. Helen spoke five languages fluently, and imparted to her children and grandchildren the importance of academic success and the pursuit of knowledge. Helen married Moses A. Nasser in 1961, and they enjoyed marriage for 36 years in Terre Haute, Indiana until his passing in 1996.

"Never forget this moment whenever you feel lost remember the love that God has and it will keep you going on and on and on. It is loving and merciful and graciousI believe in GodWhatever you need, ask of God in His love and mercy." A devout Orthodox Christian woman, Helen placed God first in all things. She saw people through God's eyes and this allowed her to love others unconditionally; a woman of Christ-like grace and peace. She loved our Lord God Jesus Christ, and is with Him now.

Helen is survived by her six children; Dr. George A. Nasser, Dr. Rhonda H. Nasser, Gloria T. Nasser Bovenschen, Dr. Joseph A. Nasser, Mona Nasser Egea, and Helen A. Nasser; her twelve grandchildren; Rhonda Amelia Nasser, Mitchell Nasser, Summerlyn Nasser, Joshua Bovenschen, Moses Bovenschen, Anthony Bovenschen, Christian Chessman, Sophia Nasser Chessman, Joseph Nasser Baghdan, Nora Nasser Baghdan, Larry Joseph Lark, and Victoria Lark; and one great-grandchild; Peyton Lark.

Helen was one of ten children born to Abraham and Olga Baghdan. Her siblings that preceded her in going home to be with the Lord are Nora Shahadey, Tony Baghdan, Antoinette Sayegh, Laila Aschi, and Odette Mathtlani. Helen's surviving siblings are Eli Baghdan, George Baghdan, Ghassan Baghdan, and Nabil Baghdan. "I love my God, I love my Jesus...defended me, protected me, many times over during my life."
