Helen V. Jeffers Helen V. Jeffers, 88, of Cory, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 in her residence. She was born in Clay County, Indiana on August 18, 1926 to Andy Jeffers and Ruth Baumunk Jeffers. She was a purchasing agent for The Pfizer Company for forty years retiring in 1989. Survivors include cousins, Jerry Long and his wife, Ramona of Terre Haute, Jeff R. Long and his wife Janis of Riley, Fred Butts and Connie Butts both of Evansville; and several other cousins Helen was a graduate of Indiana University and was a loyal fan of Hoosier Football and attended many games. Although she was a farm girl at heart, she loved to travel, especially to California. Helen also loved to play tennis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Fishback officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home.
