Harry Allen Auterson

June 30, 1947 — January 30, 2021

Harry Allen Auterson, 73, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 in his residence.  He was born June 30, 1947 in Terre Haute to Harold Auterson and Jennie Allen Auterson. Harry was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after over 40 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Marlena Corlett Auterson; son, Derik Auterson; daughter, Shauna Auterson; brother, Jack Auterson; sister, Sandy Auterson; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Auterson; brother, Billy Joe Auterson; and sister, Brenda Auterson.

Harry was an Army combat veteran serving in the 101 st and 82 nd Airborne divisions during the Vietnam War.  He liked jumping out of planes, fishing, and NASCAR.  Harry was an avid Colts and Cubs fan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street, with Pastor Jeremy Royer officiating.  Visitation will be prior to services from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
