Harriet C. Uhlhorn

Harriet C. Uhlhorn, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Hearthstone Health Campus. She was born September 5, 1934 in Mankato, MN.

Survivors include her son, Scott Uhlhorn (Karen); daughter, Ann Sloan (Bobby); grandchildren, Sarah Hoffman (Billy Scott), Anna Fry (Jason), and David Uhlhorn; great granddaughter, Lila Fry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Uhlhorn; son, Mark Uhlhorn, and her parents.

Harriet was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1963. She was also a member of Psi Iota Xi and the Indiana State University wives club. She taught Family and Consumer Science at Indiana State University. She was the director of the Chestnut Preschool and on the board of directors of the Alternative School. She loved knitting, reading, and traveling.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation or Washington Alternative School.
