Harold Weust, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday afternoon, March 6, 2021. He was a retired parts manager for Bowen Oldsmobile, was the former manager of Valley Parts, Inc. and had also worked with his family in the Mack Truck Dealership of Terre Haute. Harold was born November 30, 1928 in Terre Haute to Harry J. Weust, Sr. and Mary Nacke Weust.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Sheila O’Malley Weust; four children, Claire Paullus (Eric) of Terre Haute, Dave Weust (Karen) of Terre Haute, Philip Weust (Jennifer) of Noblesville, IN and Jeffrey Weust (Valerie) of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Parker Paullus, Jessica Weust (Daniel McNeill), Brandi Cooper (Gary), Josh Weust and Jonathon Weust; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Brantley, Memphis, Raelynn and Fynlee. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Margaret Anne Weust of Terre Haute and Molly Chambers (Mack) of Carmel, IN; two brothers-in-law, Bernie Carney of Terre Haute and John D. “Jack” O’Malley of Portland, OR; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Marian Carney; and two brothers, Harry J. “Jack” Weust, Jr. and Robert Weust.
Harold graduated from St. Patrick School and Wiley High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. Harold was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #86 and enjoyed playing cards, watching football and golfing in his spare time. Most of all, Harold loved spending time with his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 11, 2021 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00 -11:00 AM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street.
