HAROLD THOMAS "TOM" HAMMOND Harold Thomas "Tom" Hammond, 61, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Union Hospital. He worked for Sodexo Food Services at Indiana State University for 15 years before his retirement in March of 2014. Tom was born July 24, 1952 in Terre Haute to Harold G. Hammond and Norma Beddow Hammond. Survivors include two sisters, Donna Hollis (Bruce ) of Clinton, IN and Vicki Royer (Bill) of Avon, IN; two brothers, Ira Wayne Hammond (Terri) of Terre Haute and Terry Lee Hammond (Teresa) of Arizona; seven nieces and nephews, Tara Hammond and Tracee Hammond both of Arizona, Brad Hammond of Terre Haute, Bryan (Ashley) Hammond of Terre Haute, Chad (Kim) Peterson of Fishers, IN, Matt (Courtney) Royer of Greenwood, IN and Erica Royer of Broadripple, IN; three great-nieces; and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Wayne Hammond; and grandparents, Wayne & Elzo Hammond and Ira & Edna Beddow. Tom was a proud member of Eagles Aerie #291, Krietenstein American Legion Post #104 and was a life-long I.U. fan. Tom was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with his family and with his friends at the Eagles Club. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Saturday with an Eagles memorial service immediately prior to services.
