Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Rector; children, Marcy (Steve) Higham of Terre Haute, Randy Rector of Terre Haute, and Rod (Cindy) Rector of Noblesville, IN; brother, Jack (Charlene) Gorby of Bandera, Texas; grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Higham, Andy (Kristi) Higham, Ashley (Sylas) Smith, Casey Rector, Darci (Stephen) Marchese, Randa Rector, and Abbey Rector; great grandchildren, Kylie Higham, Cole Higham, Mallory Higham, Parker Higham, Mason Smith, Max Marchese, two more great grandchildren coming very soon, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gwenneth was a 1949 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. She spent her life caring for her family. Her other passion was her church. Gwenneth was a member of Northside Community United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Northside Community United Methodist Church, 1075 N. Fruitridge Avenue, Terre Haute, IN with Reverend Dr. Clark Cowden officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northside Community United Methodist Church.
